Dr. Chris Sharbaugh was raised in Indiana, PA. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Mag Cum Laude. He then went on to receive his chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca, New York where he graduated with honors. Dr. Sharbaugh moved back to Indiana in 2006 following his graduation and joined Dr. Joseph Schwartz at Indiana Chiropractic.
Dr. Sharbaugh became interested in Chiropractic after getting adjusted at the young age of 10 by Dr. Schwartz. That adjustment made him think what he wanted to do as a career and he almost immediately desired to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He knew he wanted to get into the medical field but as he grew older he realized he did not want to prescribe medicine. Dr. Sharbaugh loved that chiropractic allowed the body to heal itself and function more efficiently without the help of medicines.
Dr. Sharbaugh incorporates adjusting both by hand and by computerized instruments. In addition to manual adjusting, he uses The Pro Adjuster which uses modern technology to gently but efficiently adjust your vertebrae (bones in your spine), as well as other joints in your body. Additionally, Dr. Sharbaugh has completed extensive training in the care of both the pediatric and pregnant patient. He is Webster Technique certified (with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). Futhermore, Dr. Sharbaugh has taken hundreds of hours of training in nutrition and has extensive knowledge with Standard Process supplements.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Sharbaugh feels blessed every day to be able to help others function better and increase their potential. Dr. Sharbaugh enjoys caring for the whole family and uses a variety of techniques to best suit the individual patient.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, Jackson (age 5) and Charleston (age 2). He loves running, working out, working on his off road vehicle, spending time at the A-frame and vacationing at the Jersey Shore.
